WEEKENDS OFF
Ron Stevens
That’s what I’m calling my new blog. Weekends off. Ironically, I’m writing this first blog on a Saturday evening, after spending the entire day at the office catching up on work. Fortunately, I love my job. But “Weekends Off” represents a goal for many of us in radio. I’ve met very few radio broadcasters who can claim weekends off. And when I have, it was always someone making thousands more a year than the rest of us. So Weekends Off is more than just a goal, it’s a status symbol. It represents success in radio .... or unemployment ... but nothing in between.
So my “Weekends Off” is about success and about achieving an important goal. I will devote many blogs to that theme of success and achievement. Our new website (launched on Memorial Day Weekend, 2009) was designed as a new business infrastructure for All Star Radio Networks, to help you reach all your goals and fulfill your lifetime dreams in the broadcast industry. We began as a comedy service 26 years ago, but now we’re so much more. We will soon be offering turn-key programs that will immediately generate revenue for your station, with little cost to you and without adding more clutter to your airwaves. We will present to you a panel of experts at your disposal, both on-air and off-air, to make your business a better one. And we will take a lot of work off your shoulders, not give you more. That’s our new mission statement at All Star Radio Networks, in a nutshell. Quite bluntly, you and I are about to make more money together. And yes, even have some weekends off.
